4. Single Blade images, with Propshield (after use) and without Propshield

These two propellers were used in the same very foul estuarial waters where barnacle encrustations are at their worst. The photos demonstrate how effective Propshield is during normal use, especially where boats lie idle most of the time. This is when barnacles attack and your very expensive propellers simply dissolve into the water through leakage in shore power systems, even some pontoon electrical systems leak into the surrounding waters.

Photo 1 This propeller has had about seven months use and hasn’t been treated with Propshield and shows a typical level of encrustation attack and oxidised surface.

Photo 2 This propeller was coated with Propshield and also had average use during a seven month season. The result was startling; virtually no barnacles in the working area of the prop and it looked virtually the same as at the beginning of the season. The treated blade had 24 barnacles and we estimate that the untreated blade had in the order of 500 barnacles!
